Fertility enhancing surgery
Fertility enhancing endoscopic surgery is a broad spectrum, multi-faceted approach which consists of many techniques to improve the fertility rate of a couple.
It includes both hysteroscopy and laparoscopy to confirm and treat the cause of infertility.
In couples with infertility female causes contribute to almost 40percent of cases. These can be attributed to ovarian issues (cysts simple, haemorrhagic, endometriotic, dermoid etc.), tubal factors (tubal block or hydrosalpinx ), uterine factors like h septum, fibroids, adenomyosis etc.)Or infection s in genital tract, genital tuberculosis or pelvic adhesions.
A laparoscopy combined with hysteroscopy can evaluate all these factors as a single procedure.
It is considered as gold standard for evaluation of infertility.
